CREATING WITH COLOR AND PATTERN: PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER

This three-day workshop will expose you to working within a color palette. Students will create multiple patterns and designs via a patchwork quilt approach within their color palette to create one large cohesive piece. Different techniques will be employed for each of the quilt squares including; crackle, stenciling, stringer methods, and sgraffito. Finally it will all be cut and put together, fired and cold worked, and then slumped into a thing a beauty! This "piecework" approach will allow you to make the most of every scrap of glass you own, turning it into part of a wonderful whole!
