TEXTILE TECHNIQUES IN GLASS
Instructor: Nicole Lozano
Glass, like cloth can be a construction material for traditional and contemporary textile related forms. Although glass begins as a rigid, solid form, it’s elasticity when heated allows us to manipulate it’s shapes to resemble an unexpected fabric-like quality. Let’s explore just a few of the techniques and options that bring this concept to life! In this workshop we'll create a non-traditional loose weave wall sculpture, and a traditional 4 or 6 Square Quilt Pattern Tile plate.
LEVEL - BEGINNERS WELCOME! - But, some glass fusing experience is necessary!
